A SCHOOL BORN FROM LOVE: 
The TRUE LENS ACADEMY Story:

In the middle of Witeithie Estate, Thika, where many children can easily grow without good education for various reasons, God planted a vision and a burden in the heart of John Mbae (Rev) and his wife Judy. 

They saw children whose only crime was being born into little. Families choosing between food and fees. Bright minds dimming before they even began. So, with faith bigger than their bank account, they rented nine small rooms and there, True Lens Academy was born. 

They didn’t wait for “enough.” They started with what they had.  From day one, they made a covenant: 25% of fees and levies for every child would be subsidized. Not for a few, but for all. Because education, they believed, is not a privilege for the rich,  it’s a right for every child.

Their free time, skills, and unity became an invaluable investment to support the young school. Their resources became scholarships. Their sacrifice became opportunity.  

Today, that small seed has grown. True Lens Academy now stands strong with 270 pupils, from Playgroup to Grade 5. Every classroom is proof that obedience to a small vision can change many destinies.  

Rev. John and his wife didn’t just begin a school, they built a refuge. A place where no child is told “your dream is too expensive.” Where teachers are also parents, and where every child is seen. Where TRUE LENS are provided

True Lens is not just a name. It’s what they offer — helping children see their true potential, clearly, through the lens of hope, faith, values, and love.

Their story is a testament that, When you give your little to God, He turns it into someone’s everything. Their pledge is to see as many children as possible acquire the most precious thing they believe. TRUE LENS.
